Our Process

At Paquette Design and Build, Design and Build is not just a tag line, it's the core of our business model.  It is the system that we have worked so diligently for years to implement.  We find that most homeowners are a little anxious at the thought of building or remodeling their home or cabin.  The construction industry suffers from a lack of protocol and that makes it hard for homeowners to know where to begin and know what to choose. Some companies offer architect/design and hire someone else to build, others are not part of the design process and only do the building.  Paquette Design and Build does both!

There is an easy way to reach your goal, and that is through Paquette Design and Build.

This process may start with a friend's recommendation, or you saw us working in your neighborhood, or maybe our sign sparked your curiosity.  You begin to ask around about our company and spent some time on our website, becoming confident of our professional qualities and great reputation, you decide to take the next step...

  • Call our office or send an email to set up an appointment.
  • At our initial no charge consultation, we will meet either in your home, or at the building site.  We will gather information about your needs and wants, your budget, and any special events regarding the timing of the project (birth, graduation, marriage, etc.)
  • Still at no charge to you, we will provide an estimate based off the information gathered from the initial meeting.  This is not an exact figure, your choices and decisions will determine the actual final job costs.
  • If you choose to move ahead with Paquette Design and Build, we will propose a pre-construction agreement.  This is an agreement for Paquette Design and Build to provide conceptual construction designs and a more exact cost projection for your project.  This price agreement will include lot analysis, necessary permits and the first set of drawings.  This step takes time.  Reviewing and altering the design may be done several times.  The price of the project may change throughout this stage as various details and selections are finalized. Once a conceptual drawing and cost projection is accepted, a full set of detailed drawings are done and the contract is signed with a down payment made.
